Nicknames:
The Berry Lord: something referred to as the Berry lord for his habit of carrying around berries, as well for his hobby to breed (and create hybrids) of several berries. Mostly it's considered a good thing, since Raijin successfully breeds new berry plants that are more resistant then the previous generation. 
The Lighting Lord: Used to mock him mostly. Because he has lighting on his butt, and was born right after the Great Old Oak burned, some consider him cursed.

[Curious & Careful]
He’s a very curious colt, however, he is also very careful. Unless he knows a situation, he won’t dive in! He prefers to tag along with someone, giving him a sense of safety. 

[Observant & quiet]
 He’s quiet and observant, and prefers people he knows. He very much lets things come at him - and experiences them rather then actively doing things. He passively tags along, but enjoys others with calming or cheerful energy the most.
Raijin is near-mute due of the fact that he stammers badly. He often prefers to let others think he’s mute rather then actually trying to speak.

[Bonding & Trust Issues]
Which is due of his mother not fully accepting him. And rather then having 1 doe take care of him, he is nursed by 2 does who just feed him because it is their duty. He never receives a mother’s love from them. 
This gets better as his mother tries to reconnect to him. And as he gets permanent harem does. 

[Creativity & Empathy]
 He learns a form of sign language using magic as he gets older. He is good at listening. He doesn't often speak, and often hears things others think he’s to stupid to understand. He’s very sensitive, and often picks up on little things that are off for others, and that makes it even harder for him to speak. He's very good at making others feel better.

[Traditional but progressive]
Raijin is raised traditional, and he believes what his father believes. And what his father believes is that the traditional way is the right one! However, you need to be intelligent ... Inbreeding is not kind, pairs should be picked and matched more carefully! And every Royal should learn magic, and attend at the Magic School. Commoners should have different classes and only the talented ones should be allowed to attend. He's got political interests and loves staying at the sidelines of his uncle's debates.

[Herblore & Magic interest]
Raijin's fascinated by what magic and herbs can do. He doesn't really see them that separately trough. Trough his eyes, you need herblore, as you need magic to make one and the other work. His love for Magic is encouraged greatly by his father, who never learned to use magic himself. 
The Glenmore School is a great idea. 

Important Relationships:

Melindriel - she holds him to impossible standards and blames him for her weight gain. After the Oak is restored, she grows a little closer to him. He would love to get his mother's approval, but stammers horribly because he's afraid to do something to displease her.

 Lord Calhoun - Father - Raijin always tries his best for his father, and usually, he does a good job at it. He does stammer on bad days and his father isn't too patient when he does. But on average, he doesn't stammer all that much around his father.

Princess Eleanellora - Little sister 
He often brings her flowers and feathers, and gems to play with. She's one of the people he can talk to without stammering.

Princess Líosa - Friend - both having mother issues, Lío at times opens up to talk about that. He doesn't stammer much around Lío, mostly on bad days.

Aulwyn - crush - Raijin's got a crush on her, and has issues talking to her. Yn doesn't mind it, and these 2 kind souls just like hanging out in the flowers!

Hoofmaiden Syntyche - NPC - Commoner doe who feeds Raijin - Silver Bay Dun Classic Fawn / Age: 19-22 years old
She hates Raijin. He's clearly cursed. She won't hurt him, but does put him down and punish him for the littlest things. Raijin can't say a word with her around. She is the one who made up the "curse" and always finds a reason to say he's cursed by their Óganach.
Nursemaid Taneka - NPC - Commoner doe who feeds Raijin - Classic Cream Champagne / Age: 7-9 years old
Taneka was forced to become a maid by her mother. She should be happy, her mother says, she gets such a chance for a child with her blood! To be learn from such an experienced maiden, she should be happy! Taneka is very bitter, especially after a royal stag requested permission to mate with her- and her 'princess' said yes and forced her to do it. Now, she needs to feed the fawn of her 'princess' too. She does feel sorry for him, but being hardly more then a child herself, she is overwhelmed by 2 fawns.

-Weight issues: He's prone to becoming Obese. His father makes sure he exercises enough to keep him on a attractive level.
-Stammering: He stammers, trough he learns more about his stammer as he ages and discovers that you don't always need to say much; many will assume things anyway.
-The curse: old hoofmaiden's tale. Raijin was the first colt born right after the Great Oak burned - and he had lighting on his ass. Some believe he's cursed by Óganach for that reason. However, most see it an old hoofmaiden's tale. (and it is actually an old hoofmaiden's tale too) those who believe the curse claim his stammer is part of the curse.

Raspberry and grape vines grow around his leg and tail. He keeps them there, and he's always carrying a hybrid of his own creation.


History: 
Raijin is an early born colt, on the edge between winter and spring. He was conceived before the Great Oak burned.
Raijin's mother saw him as failure, as she grow bigger ... and his mother blames him for it, rejecting him. 

Syntyche was sure Óganach had punished the princess. This colt, born on the edge of winter and spring after the Great Oak burned, bearing the markings of lightning .. He was her punishment. A stain on the princess's life! .. And her life was already so hard! Her parents were always disappointed that she didn't have the spotted coat of Áillte.

He was looked down on by many, but his father found it a stupid woman superstition. Raijin was given to be nursed by hoofmaidens, Syntyche and Taneka. Taneka, who still had milk from a previous fawn, became his nursemaiden. Syntyche quickly begins to emotionally abuse him, while Taneka doesn't seem to care half of the time. 
Raijin's stammering starts as 2 year old.
